Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as Mini Gobi, is a semi-desert region located in central Mongolia, approximately 280 kilometers (174 miles) west of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. It lies within the Tuv, Bulgan, Uvurkhangai and Arkhangai provinces, forming part of the larger Gobi Desert ecosystem.
Elsen Tasarkhai is characterized by vast expanses of sand dunes, rocky outcrops, and sparse vegetation typical of semi-arid landscapes. The region covers an area of approximately 80 square kilometers (31 square miles), offering a blend of desert terrain and grassy steppes.

Temperature & Climate
Elsen Tasarkhai, located in central Mongolia, experiences a continental climate with distinct seasonal variations. Summers, from June to August, are characterized by hot days, ranging from 25°C to 35°C (77°F to 95°F), while nights offer relief with cooler temperatures around 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) bring milder weather, ranging from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F) during the day and cooler nights.
