About this tour

Embark on an extraordinary winter journey to visit the Nomadic Reindeer Herders of Mongolia, known as the Tsaatan or Dukha people. This tour combines the ease of comfortable travel with the thrill of a lifetime adventure. For those interested in a summer experience with the Tsaatan, explore our Dukha Mongolia Adventure.

This Winter Adventure Tour has been a favorite since 2007, showcasing some of Mongolia’s most renowned destinations. Marvel at Khuvsgul Lake, often called the “blue pearl of Mongolia,” and explore the pristine wilderness of Ulaan Taiga National Park, home to the Tsaatan tribe. Every inch of this park offers breathtaking beauty, best enjoyed in winter when the crowds thin and the landscape is veiled in steam from thermal features.

Delve into the history, culture, and daily life of the Dukha during a memorable two-day stay at their winter settlement. Immerse yourself in the enduring traditions and wisdom of the Dukha, a culture that remains largely mysterious and profoundly fascinating.
